Singapore Airlines 777-300ER Seat Guide (2026) | Cabin
TL;DR
Singapore Airlines operates the 777-300ER in at least three configurations. The flagship version carries the iconic Suites in First Class and newer Book the Cook Business Class seats. Other versions have no First Class at all. Checking your seat map before booking is not optional on this aircraft.

Singapore Airlines operates the 777-300ER in multiple configurations with dramatically different products. The version lottery is real - and knowing which Suites configuration you're on changes everything.
The Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER is one of the most storied aircraft in premium aviation. It has carried the Suites product - widely regarded as one of the finest First Class experiences ever flown - for over a decade. But it also exists in stripped-down configurations lacking First Class, and the Business Class seat varies significantly between versions.
The version lottery - read this first
The fleet broadly splits into three layouts. The original configuration carries 8 Suites in First Class in a 1-2-1 layout, followed by Business Class with the older Altitude reverse herringbone seats, then Economy. A second configuration replaces First Class with expanded Business Class using newer direct-aisle-access seats. A third high-density version exists for regional routes. The seat map tells you everything: if rows 1 and 2 show a 1-2-1 First Class layout, you have Suites. If Business Class starts at row 1, First Class is gone.
First Class Suites
The Suites cabin holds 8 seats in a 1-1-1 layout at the very front. Each suite is a fully enclosed private cabin with a sliding door, an 81-inch full-flat bed, a separate ottoman that can seat a guest, and a vanity mirror. The centre Suites (rows 2D and 2F on most configurations) can convert into a double bed - one of the few genuine double-bed products in commercial aviation. Window Suites in rows 1 and 3 offer maximum privacy with the fuselage wall on one side and a closed door on the other. Suites passengers board through a dedicated door with no queue contact with other cabins.
Business Class
Business Class uses a 1-2-1 staggered layout regardless of configuration. Seats recline to a fully flat 78-inch bed with direct aisle access from every position. Odd-numbered window seats (A and K) are flush against the fuselage with the side console providing a partial visual screen - the better privacy position for solo travelers. Even-numbered window seats face the aisle more directly. Centre D and G seats in odd-numbered rows face each other, making them the best choice for couples. Avoid the last row of the Business cabin on any configuration - galley adjacency and light bleed during Economy service are consistent complaints.
Premium Economy
A 2-4-2 layout with 38 inches of pitch and a dedicated leg rest. The bulkhead row is the standout pick - extra legroom and first meal service. The last row of Premium Economy should be avoided: restricted recline and noise from Economy behind. Premium Economy passengers receive a dedicated check-in queue and priority boarding.
Economy
A 3-3-3 layout at 32 inches pitch and 18 inches wide - respectable for a high-density widebody. Singapore Airlines seat padding and IFE screen quality (13.3 inches, 4K resolution) are consistently among the best in Economy across any airline. Exit rows offer extra legroom but come with armrest-mounted tray tables that slightly reduce seat width. Avoid the very last rows: no recline, galley proximity, and the fuselage narrows enough to affect shoulder room.
Best seats
Seat | Cabin | Why |
|---|---|---|
3A or 3K (Suites) | First | Window Suites away from the galley. Most private single occupancy on the aircraft. |
2D & 2F (Suites) | First | The double-bed centre Suites. Best couples product in commercial aviation. |
Odd-numbered A & K | Business | True window seats with console privacy. Best sleeping position for solo travelers. |
Bulkhead row A & K | Premium Economy | Extra legroom and first meal service. |
Exit row A & K | Economy | Best legroom. Window position avoids aisle traffic at the exit door. |
Seats to avoid
Seat | Cabin | Why |
|---|---|---|
Last Business row | Business | Galley directly behind. Constant light and noise during Economy meal service. |
Last Premium Economy row | Premium Economy | Restricted recline and curtain bleed from Economy. |
Last 3 Economy rows | Economy | No recline, galley noise, fuselage narrows. |
How do I know if my Singapore Airlines 777-300ER has Suites?
Check the seat map when booking. If rows 1 and 2 show a 1-1-1 layout labelled First Class, your aircraft carries the Suites product. If Business Class begins at row 1, there is no First Class on your flight.
Can you book the Suites double bed as a solo traveller?
Yes. The centre Suites are bookable individually. The double bed conversion is only possible when two passengers occupy adjacent centre Suites.
Is Singapore Airlines 777-300ER Economy good?
Yes. The 3-3-3 layout at 32 inches pitch and 18 inches width is competitive, and Singapore Airlines IFE screens, meal quality, and seat padding consistently rank among the best in class globally.
Does Singapore Airlines 777-300ER have Wi-Fi?
Yes. Satellite Wi-Fi is available. Speeds are adequate for messaging and light browsing but not consistently reliable for HD video streaming.
